Asking the magician to kill the parrot! Can corruption Really take a kill pill???

One question... 2 Choices... Prize? The world of dreams! But...... No Answer!!! Justice is the blood for the judiciary... Law is the blood for the legislature... People are the blood for a country... and India suffers from blood cancer. L Or is it just India!? Surely, it isn’t... Corruption in some or the other form is there in every country but I refrain from overprizing this weblog by putting in some names uselessly as I know not of a single country where probably corruption would not be present.

This I write not out of frustration but my tired state. I am bored and tired of people asking the politicians to stop the spread of corruption as it is same as asking the magician to kill the parrot! Every politician is not corrupt we know... but then I am scared knowing the real proportion if God were to tell me that! Well, whom should we ask then?

I will not highlight the problem further as I do not enjoy doing it but I had to place it for the purpose of the context of this log. The figures, if you need, are easily available online such as in the following excerpt from Wikipedia:

India tops the list for black money in the entire world with almost US$1456 billion in Swiss banks (approximately USD 1.4 trillion) in the form of black money. According to the data provided by the Swiss Banking Association Report (2006), India has more black money than the rest of the world combined. To put things in perspective, Indian-owned Swiss bank account assets are worth 13 times the country’s national debt.

Independent reports published through 1991 to 2011 calculated the financial net worth of India's most powerful and traditionally ruling family (the Nehru-Gandhi political dynasty) to be anywhere between $9.41 billion (Rs 42,345 crore) to $18.66 billion (Rs 83,900 crore), most of it in the form of illegal monies. Harvard scholar Yevgenia Albats cited KGB correspondence about payments to Rajiv Gandhi and his family, which had been arranged by Viktor Chebrikov, which shows that KGB chief Viktor Chebrikov sought in writing an "authorization to make payments in US dollars to the family members of Rajiv Gandhi, namely Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Paola Maino, mother of Sonia Gandhi" from the CPSU in December 1985.

“The recent scams involving unimaginably big amounts of money, such as the 2G spectrum scam, are well known. It is estimated that more than trillion dollars are stashed away in foreign havens, while 80% of Indians earn less than 2$ per day and every second child is malnourished. It seems as if only the honest people are poor in India and want to get rid of their poverty by education, emigration to cities, and immigration, whereas all the corrupt ones, like Hasan Ali Khan are getting rich through scams and crime. It seems as if India is a rich country filled with poor people", the organisers of Dandi March II in the United States said.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India said, “As on March 31, 2010, unutilised committed external assistance was of the order of Rs.1,05,339 crore.”

So, whom really should we ask to stop the corruption??? “US” indeeeeeed! We need to ensure that the players are honest for the team to win any battle... be it against corruption, or terrorism, or diseases...

Those of us who speak the most about fighting corruption should stand up to be the examples of the kind of politicians we dream of day and night. I do not doubt the intentions of those who speak of fighting against corruption but I just want to spread a message that dudes we got to fight when we got to fight! We cannot just keep asking them to fight, when we, inside of us, already know they don’t want to, in the subtlest form!!!

Well all of us may be practically cannot join politics due to the several reasons that I respect, but at least those of us who come from well-to-do families, have at least that much of money which can save the young from the initial career burden, can try an honest hand at politics. I mean it is better to serve your nation most of the times in air conditioned rooms with total honesty than feeding on your rich Dad’s money, right?

All I ask is of a try, an honest try. Don’t prove to anyone that you honestly tried, but to you only. Content my friends may not be happiness at some times, but DISCONTENT...... is a great sadness!

Join hands, create a team and work together in all possible legal ways to serve your country... Slowly and steadily the honest youth will only be the part of the system and corruption will taste some s***!!!

It may take a really lot of time but at least this way it will be possible, as they believe: “We shall overcome some day!”

Stop corruption wherever you can, let it be a fire that spreads at rocket speed, we will have to fight with that kind of dedication if we really want to win and always remember this win not only serves us but all the generations to come. So, this battle becomes of epic quality. It is a lengthy process and may take years or a couple of decades may be but the win is already ensured...

Stop at inception is the mantra. Leaking papers, driving license catalysts, plastic bag gifters, traffic signals ;), inter-school match fixing, false bills... you have to stop it wherever you see it... It should be as simple as “See it, Kill it!”

Take an oath this Independence Day, to See it, Kill it!!!

I Do! J
